LINX is a non-profit agency which helps adults with developmental disabilities in Leduc and area find jobs, accommodations and supports for daily living.

Reporting to the Executive Director, POM is responsible for the leadership, planning, education, staffing, measurement, communication, and coordination of all programming. This position directly supervises the Team Lead and oversees all staff and subcontractors.

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the operations team and supporting employees in all aspects of their performance.

· Attends Board meetings and Committee Meetings, as required.

· Manage employee matters in the operations department with accepted policies and practices of the organization.

· Responsible for hiring and orientation of employees.

· Complete semi-annual and annual performance reviews and manage employee conduct in the workplace via coaching and mentoring, training, discipline, dismissal, etc. of staff.

· Approve timesheets for payroll purposes and manage and approve employee time off vs operational demands.

· Supports the Executive Director in developing and maintaining external partner relationships across Alberta.

· Liaise with third parties to promote the organization’s services to provide the best support to clients.

· Develop and sustain communication and cooperative working relationships with other community agencies, community resource centres, parents, guardians, trustees and employers.

· Assist the Executive Director in the development of strategic business and operational plans as it relates to current needs and requirements and future growth and opportunities.

· Participate in the development of comprehensive Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and Positive Behavioral Approaches.

· Execute and facilitate ISP meetings.

· Responsible for overseeing the budget for operations.

What do I need to succeed?

· Minimum education requirement of a High School Diploma with a post secondary education in Human Services or Social Services.

· Minimum 5-7 years management experience and ability to supervise, coach and mentor employees.

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with the disability-serving sector.

· Experience with PDD and FSCD funding

· The ability to work independently in the community and effective case management are requirements of this position.

· Experience with behavior management strategies and experience working with disabilities/ special needs is a definite asset.

· Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally.

· Ability to take initiative and work independently and work in a team environment.

· Attention to detail and the ability to ensure a high degree of quality and accuracy.

· Proficient computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office suite of business programs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
